What will we study?

Through rhythm, technique and interpretation, we explore not only how the music is structured, but how it can be heard, understood and expressed through movement.

Basics of Rhythm

  • The key dance rhythms in Egyptian Dance music
  • A precise breakdown of each rhythm pattern
  • How to easily recognise each rhythm
